Each day on my walk to and from Vancouver Film School I'd pass by BC Place. Since I had recently purchased a Canon 7D I decided to grab a few shots each time I noticed some progress on the construction of the new retractable roof. The photographs shot in 2010 were typically shot in the morning on my way in to school or in the late evening on my way home. The shot on the top row right was shot at 6:06 am on my way home after pulling an all nighter to finish one of my projects.
Even though I already had hundreds of shots of the construction once I graduated in late December 2010 I found time in 2011 to go to Queen Elizabeth Park and stroll along the seawall looking for other interesting views of the new roof that has changed the Vancouver skyline. Unfortunately the day they offered a public tour inside the partially completed structure I was working and unable to attend.
